Join our annual Joint Board Retreat and help us commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the Arkansas Access to Justice Commission.
All activities on May 19 are open to the public. CLE credit will be available for attorney attendees. However, attorneys must attend in person to receive CLE credit. No virtual attendance option will be offered.

10:00 a.m. –10:15 a.m. – Welcome, Opening Remarks – 2nd Floor – The Graduate, Brodie Pane Ballroom
10:15 a.m. –11:15 a.m. – How Technology Can Make Courts More Accessible –2nd Floor – The Graduate, Brodie Pane Ballroom (1 hour of CLE, accreditation pending)
This session will offer an overview of the Arkansas Courthouse Kiosks program and other technologies implemented in the state court system to help improve court accessibility. Access the slides here.
11:15 a.m. –11:30 a.m. – Break
11:30 a.m. –12:30 p.m. – Improving Language Access –2nd Floor – The Graduate, Brodie Pane Ballroom (1 hour of CLE, accreditation pending)
This session will offer an overview of the language access services offered by the Administrative Office of the Courts and initiatives of the Arkansas Access to Justice Commission & Foundation that improve language access.
12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. – Lunch- 2nd Floor – The Graduate, Pre-function Area
1:30 p.m.–2:30 p.m. – Panels 3: Disability Rights in Arkansas –2nd Floor – The Graduate, Brodie Pane Ballroom (1 hour of CLE, accreditation pending)
This session will go over the work performed by Disability Rights Arkansas; the experiences of people with disabilities as it relates to access to justice, and how courts can improve disability access.
2:30 p.m. –2:45 p.m. – Break
2:45 p.m.– 3:45 p.m. – Joint Board Meeting– The Graduate, Brodie Pane Ballroom
