    • AR Courthouse Kiosk Update
      • Deploying kiosks to Corning, Hollygrove, and Sevier County, bringing new total to 80
      • Servicing nonfunctioning kiosks
      • 14,267 users in the past 30 days
    • Program Coordinator Hiring Process – Need volunteer to sit in on second interview
    • 2024 Joint Board Retreat (JBR)
      • Combining the JBR and the Power Act CLE (In collaboration with the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Arkansas)
      • Event info: May 16 and 17 at the U.S. Marshals Museum in Fort Smith  
      • 2 sponsorships have been pledged ($1,000 from the University of Arkansas School of Law and $500 from the Benton County Bar Association). Two are pending from the William H. Bowen School of Law and the Washington County Bar.

    • Language Justice Project
      • Court Forms Translation Project: 77 forms completed of 90 forms received from several district and circuit courts. Languages requested are Spanish, Karen and Marshallese.
      • Plan to increase the number of Marshallese court interpreters and reinstate the Marshallese interpreter certification exam.  
      • We’re partnering with Ignite Law and Policy and Ignite Marketing and Social Media to create plain English videos on basic legal concepts and resource access. Our goal is to also make them available in several other languages. 
    • AR Free Legal Answers
      • Outreach: Plan to use public libraries to expand use in underserved and untapped counties
      • Virtual Clinics: There are 21 scheduled between February and December. You can sign up to join us here
      • Closed 2023 with a 5 percent increase in our answer rate (from 84% to 89%) 
      • New FLA collaboration with the Consumer Protection Clinic at the William H. Bowen School of Law
