Arkansas Access to Justice is looking for original, written works of fiction that illuminate the importance of access to justice in the lives of children. Since access to justice is not limited to courts and the law, the work is not required to focus on lawyering or the governmental justice system. The story should be aimed at children 8 years and older. Entries will be judged on the basis of creativity, appeal to children, and insight into access to justice and its role as a core value of society.
High School Entrants must be enrolled as students at an Arkansas high school.
Adult Entrants must be 19 years of age or older and living in the state of Arkansas.
Prize: $1,000 for each winner.
To enter, send a PDF of your original, unpublished story to at firstname.lastname@example.org. Works should be no longer than 3,000 words in length.
Please use Times New Roman, 12-point font, double-spaced. Include page numbers. Include a title page that lists the following:
• Title of Work

• Residence Address

• High School and Expected Graduation Date (if applicable)
