Courthouse Kiosks
Free Self-Help Stations Across Arkansas
Courthouse kiosks are computer stations located in courthouses and libraries throughout Arkansas that provide free access to legal forms, step-by-step guides, and interactive tools for civil legal matters. These stations are especially valuable in rural communities where computer, internet, or printer access may be limited.
With over 90 kiosks already installed statewide, the AR Courthouse Kiosk Program ensures that nearly every county in Arkansas has at least one public access point for legal help. This collaborative initiative between the Arkansas Access to Justice Foundation, the Court Improvement Program, and the Administrative Office of the Courts brings vital legal resources directly to communities, right where they’re needed most.
These tools offer a lifeline for people facing serious legal issues like eviction, custody disputes, or domestic abuse, especially those navigating the courts without legal representation and those who cannot afford an attorney. The kiosks provide immediate access to court forms, legal information, and digital tools that demystify court procedures, empowering individuals who might otherwise struggle to access the legal system.
The program prioritizes accessibility for people who may not have reliable internet or transportation, ensuring that geographic location or economic circumstances don’t prevent Arkansans from understanding their legal rights and options.
